We went to the county fair the birds and the bees where there……….

So we went to the county fair. On opening day none the less. Which

was a good day to go because the temp was on the cool side. I can say that I did get sun burnt but not bad! Robbie had so much fun our first stop was the track. Had to see the ponies run. 100_1104

So after a while we went to see the animals. Robbie had a ball looking at all the animals from his books and seeing the things he see in them in real life. Like the tractors! He was rooting them on when they cleaned up the track. We wanted to know who was gonna win!100_1107

Pigs say OINK! Can I touch one???100_1109

So then it was off to see the puppets! What a fun and exciting show. We got to laugh, and dance and even got wet. Robbie had his first fair corn dog and made a good mess of it to!   100_1118

Provident Living

100_0915_00

So we have been doing our part in getting to be self sufficient. This  is our provident living in action. We not only did the front landscape but we made it a edible landscape as well. There are squash, peppers, eggplants and artichokes in this picture

I planted sweet peas to grow up the fence, they still haven’t made it to the wires yet but they will one day!

The front yard as it looked not to long ago. It is much better now.The seedlings have taken off and you would not believe what we have started to pick. Our neighbors love it too! the first beans went next door. The sugar snaps have been eaten off the plant by Robbie. He loves them. I can’t wait to see what is ready in the morning. It makes getting up in the morning more fun to see what we will have fresh each day!
