I can't believe that Robbie's first birthday is around the corner. It seems like just yesterday he was this little bundle of joy, wrapped tightly in the clear hospital bassinet. He has grown a changed and now I am watching a new personality come out. He is very independent, loving and enjoys laughing and stops when he hears music. I am inconstant wonder at his world and what he is learning so fast. There is not much in this world right now that scares him, except Uncle Russell. It took all day to get him calm enough to take this pic.

This was at fathers day.
It was fun and they enjoyed it. The Kids enjoy playing with Robbie and the dogs have a ball and are worn out by the time they leave. . I was ready for a nap by the time they all left!
We took Robbie swimming for the first time this summer! He had a ball!

We went to Micke Grove Park and enjoyed the zoo. Its not that big but it is fun. There we visiting Lorikettes. we got to feed them and they would land on you. Robbie decided to try and grab one. not a happy bird to say the least.

So long gone

Well we are back on line and getting going again. I really missed being online. I missed the outreach I get by pushing the buttons and winding up on the other side of the world. We are one this computer and I. I love to be able to see what my friends are doing at the touch of a button.  I am trying to get back into doing the blog thing so here is the latest.
Robbie is 25 lbs and growing. He is the size of a 11 month old. So big for just 7 months on the 3rd. We have had so much fun lately. Robbie is getting good at doing the backwards push. He moves on his belly and goes backwards... he doesn't quite understand it yet. He is getting his teeth. We have the first 2 bottom and the top 2 are coming in. We have had a few nights that are quite unrest full. But he is getting to eat more food too! He is starting on actual real live table food. bread, muffins, bananas, potatoes anything soft. bits of meat He loves it all and would eat your fingers if you gave him the chance.!!!!
Will post pics soon!

History in the making

You know I am trying to figure out what I am going to tell my son about such a historic day. I see future history lessons starting way back and coming up to the day that Obama was sworn in as president. So much history. So much to explain on the stupidity of man. We have come so far. I just hope that some idiot doesn't try to do something stupid. You know I wish so much for the color lines, walls to be broken permanently. I wasn't raised to see color. I hope Robbie doesn't see color as an issue. I see people for who and what they are. Martin Luther King set the groundwork for this historic event to happen. Obama finally brought it to the White-house. Finestine in her speech was right. it started with King at the Lincoln Memorial with a dream, and ended at the White-House with Obama being sworn in. History in the making! I am amazed and in aw of the history being made before my eyes and hope to convey it to my son when he is old enough to understand. Hopefully he will be amazed at what happened when he was four months old and can see the impact it had in his life. On all our lives. Hopefully it will be 4 years of change for the better.

SLEEP!

Sleep as you know with a little one is a precious thing. You get little of it for quite a while. Last night because of our schedule for the day I figured it was going to be a ruff night. Sat. I didn't get dressed till 4 and Robbie and I took some good naps during the day. So I thought I was facing a night of ups and downs. Was I WRONG. We had a ruff start. but by 9 Robbie was a sleep and I had a quiet night trying to get my bank info and the money program on the same page. by the time I went to sleep at 11 robbie was still asleep. I figured I would be up in a hour. WRONG I got to sleep till 3 am. You know I love to watch him sleep it is so sweet. That is when they are really angles. Their faces are so peaceful. It is one of those happy times.
This is another. I to watch him enjoy those first moments of discovery. Lately he is starting to grab at everything. and everything goes into his mouth. I have a cow stuffed rattle on the swing just long enough to grab and now he grabs it and trys to get it in his mouth. He has started to realize he can mimmic what you do with your face. watching him concentrate on sticking out his toung is so cute! I enjoy getting him to do this. He newest tis to pucker and blow air threw his lips like he is going to raspberry someone,  scares him when he does it, but funny!

My lil' Santa

Robbie's first Santa Hat. 3 Months old

Welcome

Welcome everyone. This should be interesting, I'm tying this out to keep you all informed of what is going on in our lives. We are not that busy but with a little one we want the family to know what is going on and where we are in our lives with him.

Lets see, it is Friday. Roberts long day at work which means I get an extra hour to get housework done and an extra hour to be lazy in getting the housework done. Last night was homemaking night at church. We ladies got together to start a new program called Creekside university. I am a professor for Home Economics- cooking. Can you believe me a professor! But I do love to bake so it isn't such a bad thing or so far out of the ordinary. I left Robert home with Robbiebob. This shouldn't be such a tragic thing. Yeah right, He seems to get the silliest things to turn tragic.  Robert left Robbie on the couch, propped up with pillow as to not fall off the couch, to use the bathroom. Not 3 seconds in to his thing, he hears crying and comes out to find Robbie  screaming muffled. He find him with his Passie stuck in his mouth and screaming around it. how it got stuck in there we will never know. I think Robbie tried to suck it with his fingers and managed to jam it in between his lip and gum and it got stuck, nothing is wrong with him but it did take a few hours to get him calmed down and back to sleep.  I can say he slept 5 hours from when I got home and I had him up at 2:45 when he ate 3:15, at 3:30 finally I put him in bed with me and slept till 6 when he woke up hungry. So far today everything is normal and good. I don't know how robert is going to Handle once a month meeting without something happening.
